As a previous Wilson Kblade user myself, I was highly anticipating taking this racket for a test drive. Although providing a little more control than it's predecessor, I felt that there was a slight decrease in power available with a more muted feel than the Kblade, especially noticeable on flat shots. That being said, there is still enough pop to put away those sitters on the service line. Adding to the control of the BLX Blade 98 is it's tight 18/20 string pattern. Volleys come off at ease with the solid feel adding forgiveness to the frame. At 11.3 ounces strung, the BLX Blade 98 offers a solid, forgiving feel, best suited to those who can generate their own power and spin.
