The Head Youtek Speed Pro is part of the new Speed line up of frames for the 2010/11 season and slots right in between the Extreme and Prestige racquet models.

With its thin beam and head light setup racquet head speed is a given but again the biggest surprise has to be comfort and spin. The word "Speed" is quite appropriate as the ability to dictate rally pace and adapt to any style of play is one of this frames real strengths. Featuring Head's new and ground breaking D3o frame technology the Youtek frames deliver unmatched levels of response and intelligence on ball impact.

D3O is a jelly like substance that behaves differently on different shots fluctuating to maximise performance. High-speed impact locks the d3o molecules together, to provide maximum power by stiffening the frame. Equally, on slower speed shots, d3o provides a softer touch for better feel, as the molecules absorb the impact.

The Speed MP also uses a DuPont Teflon grommet system that reduces friction. Less friction means maintaining more of the strings energy, and a resulting slight increase in power and durability.
