The new Pure Drive has a hybrid of braided carbon fibers and tungsten filaments throughout the entire racquet. This new tungsten braided setup strengthens the frame to reduce torque for greater precision (Babolat claims 26% more precision compared to the previous Pure Drive). The Pure Drive also features the Babolat Cortex system which reduces high peak vibrations whilst allowing low frequencies to pass through to still provide shot feedback on feel shots.

When compared to earlier models the new GT frame best compares with the legendary Team series. The new tungsten braiding delivers more feel and response at ball contact.
